Hello. I’d also like to share how my visit went, because when I read the review, I was quite unpleasantly surprised. When I arrived, I first asked you what you wanted me to clean. You told me to go upstairs and start with the terrace. The terrace is huge—almost as big as an entire room. There was a lot of dust, and the windows were quite dirty and covered in fingerprints. On top of that, it was very hot, and the balcony was baking in direct sunlight. I worked there for about 40–45 minutes because the space was large and there was a lot to clean. After that, I went downstairs to get some water and a bucket for the floor. By then, the children were already awake and playing. When I arrived, they were still asleep. The children were already playing in one of the rooms, and you told me not to go in there. I simply couldn’t make it to the other room because my shift ended at 12:30 p.m. The rest of the time, I wasn’t just standing around doing nothing. I cleaned the kitchen and the living room, the table, the sofa, and the mess. There were dishes in the kitchen sink, which I washed and put in the dishwasher. There was also a very greasy frying pan that was quite difficult to clean and took me some time as well. The apartment is large. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a separate toilet, a kitchen, a living room, and this very large balcony. It’s impossible for one person to thoroughly clean everything in just a few hours, especially since the first 40–45 minutes were spent on the huge terrace at your request. If you had told me from the very beginning to leave the terrace and focus on the rooms, I would have allocated my time differently and would have been able to clean more of the apartment. I’d also like to clarify the issue of smoking, since that’s the main problem you mentioned. I asked you if I could take breaks and smoke on the terrace, and you told me I could. I didn’t smoke inside. I took breaks during work, but I asked for permission beforehand. You smoke as well, which is why I was even more surprised that this was later cited as a major problem. If you thought my breaks were too long, you could have simply told me, and I would have complied. At no point did you tell me that you had a problem with my work. You didn’t tell me that you wanted me to hurry up, that you weren’t satisfied, or that you wanted me to stop one task and start another. On the contrary, you treated me normally and smiled at me, so I was under the impression that everything was fine. I have no problem with feedback. If a client tells me on the spot, “I don’t like this,” “I want you to clean this room first,” or “Don’t take such a long break,” I’ll accept it and comply. That way, I also have the chance to fix something if it wasn’t done the way the client wanted. That’s why it’s upsetting for me to read afterward that I did “very little” when I wasn’t told anything like that at the time. I cleaned the balcony, which you assigned to me first, then the kitchen, the living room, the table, the sofa, the dishes, and the rest of the mess, and I did as much as I could by the end of my shift. I accept criticism when there’s a problem, but I think it’s much more fair to tell me right then and there. That way, I can respond immediately. That’s why this evaluation bothered me, because I don’t think it accurately reflects the effort I put in during the visit.
